Leadership Programs

The Bronze Medallion course challenges the candidate both mentally and physically. Judgment, knowledge, skill, and fitness – the four components of water rescue – form the basis of Bronze Medallion training.

The Bronze Cross course begins the transition from lifesaving to lifeguarding and prepares candidates for responsibilities as assistant lifeguards.

This is the introductory level to the leadership program. Participants develop problem-solving and decision-making skills individually and in partners.

This course is for Bronze Cross certified candidates that need to recertify an expiring Bronze Cross certification. Bronze Cross certification is current for 2 years and is recertified by completing a Bronze Cross recertification exam
